We are glad to present the 2018 annual report of Xia & He journals. In 2018, we achieved several milestones. New members have joined the editorial boards of Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology (JCTH), Exploratory Research and Hypothesis in Medicine (ERHM), and Journal of Exploratory Research in Pharmacology (JERP). Each journal has published four full issues. From the beginning of 2018, JCTH has been included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), a new index in the Web of Science Core Collection. Please find more details in the report below.
Geographic distribution of editorial board members
JCTH has 124 editorial board members from 22 countries and districts (Fig. 1). ERHM has 71 editorial board members from 14 countries and districts (Fig. 2). At JERP, on the editorial board there are 35 members from 11 countries and districts (Fig. 3).

Geographic distributions of the authors & article types
In 2018, JCTH, ERHM, and JERP published four issues each, consisting of diverse article types and worldwide authorship (Fig. 4).

Downloads and citations
In 2018, there were 106,241 visits to the Xia & He Publishing website. The total number of downloads of papers from the Xia & He website for JCTH, ERHM, and JERP were 66,236, 10,449, and 8704, respectively. JCTH was indexed in the ESCI from the beginning of 2018, and all subsequent published papers can be found in the Web of Science? Core Collection. The numbers of citations to JCTH papers in the Web of Sciences collection are shown in Figure 5.

Fast process for peer review and publication
Thanks to the support of our editors and reviewers, we have managed a quick but rigorous process of peer review and publication. In 2018, the average time from submission to first decision was 38 days, and from acceptance to online publishing was 20 days.
