Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology (JCTH) is an internationally peer-reviewed SCIE journal dedicated to publishing high-quality clinical and translational research across all areas of hepatology. QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS
===========================================================
A. EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBERS
(1) Hold a doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification, together with a senior professional title (Professor / Chief Physician).
(2) Have published a minimum of 15 SCI papers as first or corresponding author focusing on hepatology research, among which at least 8 papers were released within the past two years. Applicants shall satisfy one of the following two benchmarks:
● ≥2 papers in journals with an impact factor (IF) ≥10; OR
● ≥5 papers in journals with an impact factor (IF) ≥5.
(3) H-index ≥ 25 (Web of Science).
(4) Willing to dedicate time to manuscript screening, peer review, and journal promotion.
(5) Preference given to candidates with overseas research experience or principal investigator of national-level grants.
B. EARLY CAREER EDITORS
(1) Hold a doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification.
(2) Have published a minimum of 10 SCI papers as first or corresponding author focusing on hepatology research, among which at least 6 papers were released within the past two years. Applicants shall satisfy one of the following two benchmarks:
● ≥1 papers in journals with an impact factor (IF) ≥10; OR
● ≥3 papers in journals with an impact factor (IF) ≥5.
(3) H-index ≥ 15 (Web of Science).
(4) Committed to timely peer review and active journal promotion.
DUTIES
===========================================================
A. EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBERS
1. Serve as Academic Editors to conduct initial manuscript evaluation and assign suitable peer reviewers.
2. Independently complete peer review assignments for submitted manuscripts.
3. Recommend high-quality, rigorous reviewers with professional expertise in relevant subfields.
4. Initiate and invite authoritative original research articles and comprehensive review papers for the journal.
5. Propose thematic research topics and act as Guest Editors to organize special issues.
6. Promote the journal’s brand and academic influence at international conferences and professional academic networks.
7. Provide forward-looking strategic suggestions regarding journal development, editorial standards and publishing policies.
B. EARLY CAREER EDITORS
1. Submit or recommend at least one high-quality review article to JCTH annually.
2. Complete a minimum of three independent peer review tasks every year within the required timeframe.
3. Take an active role in journal publicity.
4. Offer ideas and constructive suggestions for journal improvement.

1. Receive an official appointment certificate with a one-year term; reappointment is available based on annual performance assessment.

B. EARLY CAREER EDITORS
1. Receive an official appointment certificate with a one-year term; reappointment is available based on annual performance assessment.
2. Have a clear advancement pathway: outstanding performers will be prioritized for promotion to full Editorial Board Member.
3. Gain priority invitations to the JCTH Editor-in-Chief Salon and all journal-hosted academic forums.
