On March 8, 2021, the CEO of Xia & He Publishing Inc. (XHP), Ms. He Hua, and the President of the Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA), Prof. Lanjing Zhang, professor of Princeton Medical Center/ Rutgers University, together with Prof. Guoping Cai of Yale University and Prof. Huan-You Wang of the University of California, signed an agreement to co-launch the Journal of Clinical and Translational Pathology (JCTP).

JCTP is the official scientific journal of CAPA. It publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed original research articles, reviews, perspectives, commentaries, and letters that are pertinent to clinical and translational pathology, including but not limited to anatomic pathology and clinical pathology. Basic scientific research on the pathogenesis of diseases as well as the application of pathology-related diagnostic techniques or methodologies also fits the scope of JCTP.

Prof. Guoping Cai and Prof. Huan-You Wang are the Editors-in-Chief of JCTP. The journal will adopt a strict peer-review and open access model. The first issue of JCTP will be published in October 2021. CAPA is a non-profit organization for Chinese American pathologists in the United States and Canada who are either in practice or in training. Since its establishment in 2004, with the continuous and collective efforts of its members, CAPA has developed as a nationally and internationally recognized pathologist organization with over 700 members today. CAPA serves its members and non-CAPA member pathologists through a primary mission of providing educational opportunities, improving professional skills, enhancing communication and promoting collaboration between CAPA and other pathology organizations.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Texas, XHP is providing a platform for researchers to communicate their achievements, record the latest findings, and promote research in biomedicine. As the publisher of topical English journals covering all aspects of biomedical research, our goal at XHP is to achieve a wide readership, global distribution, and the highest reputation for integrity. Our journals adhere to an open-access and peer-review model. This policy assists distribution across geopolitical boundaries, facilitates productive interactions between authors and readers, and promotes the practical application of published information. Currently, XHP has three English journals. Among them, the Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology (JCTH), co-published with the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, has been included in 27 databases and platforms including PMC/PubMed, SCIE and Scopus.
