European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery: 癌症病人接受 3 D 技术制造的胸骨和肋骨移植

最近国内热炒“3D 打印煎饼”，与此同时，欧洲心胸外科杂志报道了“3D 技术制造的胸骨和肋骨移植”案例：一名患有胸壁肉瘤的 54岁西班牙病人，通过手术去除了他的胸骨和一部分肋骨，并将 3D 技术制造的钛金属胸骨及肋骨植入体内。
因为涉及到胸腔复杂的结构，手术非常难，所以手术团队是由萨拉曼卡大学医院的三位杰出医学博士组成。该手术过程已经在欧洲心胸外科杂志刊登发表。
该案例中胸骨和肋骨的植入物是由 Anatomics 公司使用价值 130万美元的 Arcam 打印机“打印”出来的。该打印机的工作原理是在一层钛粉上发射电子书从而使得钛粉融化，反复重复这一过程，就会一层一层地生产，直到做出最终产品。
3D 打印技术具有独特的立体模板，可以根据需要生产出身体特定部分的模型。该报道将进一步调起大家对 3D 技术在医疗应用方面的兴趣。
