Journal of Translational Critical Care Medicine (JTCCM), an open access publication academically supported by The First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, is a peer-reviewed online journal with continuous print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional/subject-based repository. 

The journal covers technical and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues in field of Critical Care Medicine, Translational Medicine, Respirology, Infection, Tumor, Surgery. Articles with clinical interest and implications will be given preference. 

About The First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University

Founded in 1949, the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University is the largest medical center in Heilongjiang Province, China. It is a large-scale comprehensive clinical medical college integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and prevention and health care. In 1992, the hospital was rated as "Grade III Level A hospital", and in 2010, it passed Grade III Level A hospital review with the highest score in the province.

JTCCM currently publishes 4 issues a year, in March, June, September, and December.

JTCCM follows an open access publishing model. Revenue is generated through article processing charges, permissions, and reprints. Currently, the publication costs are covered by the editorial office and the publisher.
